Advanced Integrated General Aviation Primary Flight Display Interface Design, Development and Assessment
This project's objective was to develop the first practical "highway-in-the-sky" primary flight display for general aviation aircraft. An advanced display was designed, developed in hardware/software, and the prototype was assessed via piloted mission simulations. The resulting prototype was displayed at the Oshkosh Airshow in July 2001 (see accompanying images).

The project was supported by the Avidyne Corporation and the EIDS Corporation A publication describing design process details and project results is planned for the 21st Digital Avionics Systems Conference, October 2002.
